Goin ROGUE: CJ's Take on Roasted Chickpeas

During Spring, I tried my hand at cooking with chickpeas and instantly fell in love. During this love affair, I shared a little snack with you all. I guess the loved spread because a reader reached out to let me know how much she too enjoyed the recipe!

CJ Thayer of Washington, DC writes:
I loved making these chickpeas! I tried [making a similar recipe] once before and wasn't very pleased, but seeing Reignin’s success inspired me to try again. Drying them out before made a big difference--they turned out so well!

How did you #goROGUE?!
I used Smoky Southern Seasoning. I just make a big batch of it and use it in random recipes. :)

1 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp coriander
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp sea salt or Himalayan salt
(CJ was gracious enough to share her recipe...You might see this mix in a recipe in the near future!)

Any tips?
The only thing I need to work on is checking the chickpeas towards the end of the cooking process to make sure they aren’t too done for me!

See? Taking a little chance on yourself might be the most delicious surprise ever!!! Try a recipe, GO ROGUE if you want, and tell me about it--you could be the next feature. Always remember: food is simply what you make it.

Thank you for sharing your journey through #ROGUElyfe, CJ!
Happy Cooking Y’all :)
