Chocolate Dipped Cookies
Outside of this being one of the best months of the year because it’s Black History Month, and the birth month of my Dad and StepMomz (LOVE YOU Parents!), but it is also the assumed month of love! Valentine’s Day is an interesting holiday because you can make it what you want it to be.
You can celebrate various types of love (or lack thereof). When in school, I enjoyed making my friends gifts-- anything with a little candy was the perfect gift. The head of my division at work gave out waffle cookies during the holidays. It inspired me to give them out as gifts myself, with a little twist. I knew Valentine’s day would be the best time to give them out because I could go crazy with them (see #ROGUElyfe section on some ideas), and it would be fun. My Chocolate Dipped Waffle treats are a quick, cheap and easy way to show a little love during the season of love. Per usual, try them out and let me know what you think!
Money Matters
I spent $9 to make 18 chocolaty treats-- so $2 a cookie! You may spend a little more to jazz them up a bit more.

Some things you may want to try:
Sprinkles
Different types of dips (e.g. other chocolates, sweet yogurt)
Small candies that can cover the dip
My Recipe
Box of Pizzelles (about 18 cookies)
½ cup of dark chocolate, melted
Directions
Line a baking pan with parchment paper, set aside. Warm the chocolate, but be sure not to burn the chocolate by stirring slowly.
One cookie at a time, dip into chocolate allowing the excess to drip off. Place on the parchment paper. Once pan is full, place in the refrigerator to allow chocolate to harden for 20 minutes.
Once ready, enjoy or package them up by 3 or 4 and hand out as gifts!
Happy Cooking Y’all :)
