Seared Brussel Sprouts
I am just going to jump right in on this one. Brussel sprouts are the absolute best veggie in the WORLD! I would eat them everyday if I didn’t have so many other things I want to eat. You can bake, roast, fry-- anything. Speaking of, below you will find my quick recipe for Seared Brussel Sprouts. Make these when you are feeling fancy or if you just want a little crunch. You can serve this dish as an appetizer, side, or main dish-- I have done all three. Let me know what you think:)
Money Matters
With this being such a basic recipe, it is super inexpensive. I spent $5, for 4 servings-- $1.25/servings.

Shake up the spices: think about the flavor of the rest of your meal and allow the sprouts to assist.
I’ve added dried fruit (cranberries) or fresh fruit (pomegranate seeds) to add a little sweetness
Add some onions and garlic-- need I say more?!
My Recipe
1 pound brussels sprouts, cut in half
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
Salt, pepper, and garlic for taste
Directions
Pour oil in pan until it reaches 1 inch. Heat oil on high heat. While oil is heating, toss brussel sprouts, balsamic, and seasonings together in a large bowl.
When oil is ready, place sprouts face down and allow to cook until dark browned. About seven minutes. Cook longer if you want more of a crunch, or less time if you want them softer.
Once done cooking, serve and enjoy hot!
Happy Cooking Y’all :)
