Kitchen Must Haves: Soy Sauce
I mentioned a sauce in the works, and it’s late. So I’ll give you my love of soy sauce and quick soy sauce-based creation. Let’s jump right in!
I always have a bottle of soy sauce in the kitchen...and at work. It can be used as a dressing, as the base of a sauce, or to cook with. You can add a little something sweet and or spicy to make it exactly what you want. I have used it as an added piece to sauteeing some veggies and as a marinade. I also use it to make sauces. Each time I make a sauce with this base, it comes out about the same...that tells me I have been doing it long enough for it not to be a ROGUE item in my repertoire!
That said, this is one of my go-to soy sauce based creations. I typically pair this with my fried veggie patties or an appetizer from my favorite Chinese takeout when soy sauce isn't enough.
Soy Sauce Sauce
⅓ cup soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp garlic powder
Directions
Add all the ingredients together and stir until well blended. Dip whatever you like in and enjoy!
Happy Cooking Y'all :)
